⚈ Reheat main course and dessert (as per instructions on the label) and consume immediately. The meal should not be reheated more than once
⚈ Refrigerate (as per instructions on label) and reheat at time convenient. Shelf life of the chilled food, if stored as per instructions is up to two days, facilitating the provision and delivery of more than one meal on a particular day. It is important to follow the instructions on the label.
⚈ In addition to the nutritional benefits available through this service, provision is made for social contacts for senior and
disabled people living alone.
⚈ The security of knowing that a friendly volunteer will check on their well-being on delivery days and respond quickly if an emergency arises.
⚈ A means for senior and disabled people to retain their independence in their own home.
⚈ Those who because of age, disability or illness are unable to prepare an adequate meal for themselves
⚈ Have no one to prepare meals
⚈ Have inadequate cooking facilities
⚈ Have health and social needs that are defined by doctors, hospitals and Public Health Nurses Referrals can come from Public Health Nurses and concerned friends and relatives
⚈ Meals may be cancelled by phoning 0433350114 or 043 3350138 up to 9.30 am on the day of delivery, or the day before the delivery.
⚈ Meals are delivered between the hours of 11.00 am and 2.00 pm.
⚈ Notification to the office is necessary if the recipient will not be home so arrangements can be made for leaving the dinner.
⚈ We strive to make the meals reasonable and affordable.
⚈ The cost to the recipient is subject to change due to the cost of food. Notification of any increase in cost will be given to each recipient prior to the increase.
⚈ Our meal production complies with all current food safety regulations.

⚈ Senior Alert Pendant Alarms are available for senior citizens over 65
⚈ Alarms are installed by Care Direct.

⚈ If you have a landline telephone the only charge you will incur will be €60 annual monitoring fee which is now covered by the grant and free for the first year.
